The Material Stays Yours
Uploading a document does not transfer ownership of it. Your files and the content generated from them belong to you, and they exist in your account for you to study from, not as something we publish, resell or share.
Who Can See It
Your material is isolated to your account at the database level, so other learners cannot reach it — there is no shared pool where one person's uploads become visible to another. Content only leaves your account if you deliberately share it using the sharing feature.
It Is Sent to an AI Service to Be Processed
This is the part worth understanding. To turn a PDF into subtopics, explanations and questions, the material has to be sent to the AI service that does that work. That is not a side effect — it is the mechanism by which the product functions at all. Those services handle the data according to their own terms, which are outside our control.

So the honest boundary is this: we can tell you your material is not shared with other learners and is not sold, and we can point you to our Privacy Policy for the full statement of how data is handled. We cannot make promises on behalf of the AI services about how they treat data they receive. <strong>If a document is confidential, covered by an NDA, or contains someone else's personal information, do not upload it.</strong> That advice costs you nothing and removes the question entirely.
Removing It

The Authoritative Version
This page is a plain-language summary written to answer the question learners actually ask. The Privacy Policy is the binding statement of what is collected, how it is used, which third parties are involved and what your rights are. Where the two ever appear to differ, the Privacy Policy is the one that governs.
