The Feedback Dialog
When you tap Complete Subtopic at the end of an Explain Mode session, a feedback dialog appears automatically:

"How was this explanation? Your feedback helps us improve."
The dialog presents a 5-point emoji rating scale:
😞 — Very poor
😕 — Poor
😐 — OK
🙂 — Good
😁 — Excellent
Select the emoji that best reflects your experience, then tap Submit to send your rating. If you'd prefer not to rate, tap Skip — the dialog closes immediately and does not appear again for that subtopic.
What Your Feedback Affects
Feedback is aggregated anonymously and used by the Learning Clarity team to identify subtopics or content patterns where explanations consistently rate poorly. This data informs improvements to the AI system prompt and content generation logic — not the specific content of your personal subtopics.

If an explanation felt confusing, a rating of 😞 or 😕 is genuinely useful. Low ratings on a particular subject area help prioritise where the AI needs to improve most.

Does the feedback change my subtopic content?›
No. Your subtopic content is fixed once generated. The feedback affects aggregate quality signals, not your individual content.
Will the dialog appear every time I complete a subtopic?›
It appears after each subtopic completion, but only once per subtopic. If you Skip or Submit, it won't re-appear for that subtopic.
Is my rating tied to my account?›
Ratings are collected in aggregate and are not publicly associated with your profile or username.
Can I change a rating after I have submitted it?›
No. The dialog appears once per subtopic, so a submitted rating stands. Skipping is just as final — it will not reappear for that subtopic either.
Will a low rating regenerate my explanation?›
No. Your subtopic content is fixed once generated. Ratings feed aggregate quality signals used to improve the AI’s prompts and content generation; they never rewrite content you already have.
